
Akeeba Backup is Joomla component that allows you to create backup and manage complete backups of your Joomla website and also this component have many functions, helping you update your Joomla site to the latest version, take regular security backups, move sites, and secure your Joomla site. Today i will show you how to create a single backup of your website and store locally on your pc or any other disk
Follow the below steps to backup your website with Akeeba Backup
Step 1: First you need to download the Akeeba Backup Extension from the Official Akeeba Backup website.

Step 2: Next, Login to your Joomla admin area and click the Extensions-> Extension Manager

Step 3: Now you need to install the downloaded Extension, Click Choose file button select the downloaded zip file then hit the Upload and install button

Step 4: The Extension installed on your Joomla site then you will see the message installed successful. Then click the Components -> Akeeba Backup

Step 5: Then you will be required to agree to the component’s terms of use. After you read them, click on the big, orange button Accept the mandatory information and apply preferences.

Step 6: Then, you will see the Akeeba Backup main page. Here, you need to click on the Backup Now button.

Step 7: Then you will see the below page. add a comment for that backup.
Finally, press the Backup Now! button to begin the backup process.

Once you click the button, the backup creation process will begin. You can monitor the backup progress while waiting for its completion.

Important Note: Do Not close this browser window unless the backup is completed.
Step 8: When the all process is done the screen will refresh and you will be see that the process was successful. On this page, click on the Manage Backups button to proceed.

Step 9: Finally you will see the list of all the Joomla backups you have created using the Akeeba component. Then you can click to download the backup file on your personal computer or any other hard drive.
